Andrei is a machine learning developer at Consilium Crypto specializing in natural language processing (NLP). He has built end-to-end pipelines for automatically gathering, analyzing, and visualizing large amounts of live unstructured text data from across the web. In order to help find the signal in the noise, these pipelines successfully leverage state-of-the-art deep learning techniques to automatically analyze millions of text documents. Andrei also contributes to Consilium Crypto’s research and development efforts on time-series modelling of orderbook data, and reinforcement-learning based trading.

Jean-Francis holds a bachelor of science in mathematics with a specialization in actuarial science and a masters in computer science with a specialization in machine learning. He is currently a doctoral student in computer science at Université de Montréal where he studies applications of stochastic modeling and machine learning in high frequency trading. Jean-Francis has joined Consilium in March 2020. Currently he is working on a simulator for which the goal is to eventually train reinforcement learning agents to better execute orders in the fragmented cryptocurrency markets. Possible applications include market-making and price impact minimization.
